About

Welcome to Cassie’s Kitchen.  I created this blog to share my love of cooking, baking and entertaining with you, and I hope you find these recipes helpful and inspirational, as I have from so many of my favorite cookbooks and blogs.

Cassie's Kitchen

I grew up in a family that loves food.  We love talking about it.  We love making it. And of course we love eating it. Both my parents are amazing cooks, and I learned the pleasure of cooking and entertaining from them.  My family ate dinner together almost every night, and even as I kid I often helped with preparing meals.  My parents hosted countless dinner parties, and the love for entertaining and creating memorable meals for friends and family has certainly been ingrained in both my sister and me.  I was given the “Baking with Julia” cookbook when I was 10 years old, and it was just the beginning. I began making cakes, cookies, pies and breads, and I couldn’t get enough. For me, cooking and baking is not just about eating the finished product (although that certainly helps), it’s about finding a creative outlet that seems to please so many of those around me. I find cooking and baking to be therapeutic, and I love sharing delicious recipes with friends, coworkers and loved ones. I hope that these recipes will inspire and satisfy you, making the lives of you and your loved ones that much sweeter.

A little about me: I live in New York City with my boyfriend and taste-tester, Jordan, and my adorable cocker spaniel, Brody.  When I’m not in the kitchen, I enjoy staying active by running, playing almost any competitive sport there is, discovering new neighborhoods, restaurants, and bars in NYC and spending as much time as possible with friends and family. I am obsessed with traveling, and will try to include pictures and local cuisine here on Cassie’s Kitchen with every trip I take.
